Biography
Amanda Fondell possesses one of the most unique voices in Sweden and stepped right into the limelight when she won Swedish Idol back in 2011.
Through her 13 year long career, Fondell has been releasing music on the major labels as well as independently. She’s signed a global publishing deal with BMG Rights Management in Germany/US and is a rising star on the local grounds, as well as she’s starting to build momentum internationally.
Amanda has performed on National Television multiple times on shows like TV4 Nyhetsmorgon, Sommarkrysset, Allsång På Skansen, Idol, Bingolotto, Musikhjälpen etc. and on city festivals and arena stages all over Sweden. Her debut album 'All This Way', summarizing her time on Swedish Idol, has achieved Platinum in Sweden, and she's the co-writer of and sings on the hit song 'Barricade' by five times Grammy nominated and award-winning Axwell (part of Swedish House Mafia), only to name a few of her successes.
A couple of years back, Fondell found herself a new creative team to continue the work with her artistry. She signed with High Density Management that quickly became her trusted partner in every decision and she continues to be a signed songwriter to the international publishing giant BMG.
With a new Indie Pop/Rock sound, Fondell has unleashed her new EP 'Excuse Me, I Just Need To Scream' earlier this year, consisting of the Indie Rock banger 'Cut Them Out', the danceable 'Hurt', the female role model anthem 'Girl In Red', and not to forget – the focus single and inspiration for the EP – 'Scream', a song about being able to express your feelings without keeping them bottled up. The ending track is titled 'Future Child' and tells an intimate story about the longing for a child. In summary, the five track EP features themes like female empowerment, self confidence and motivates the listener, and above all – women, to be proud of and enjoy themselves.
